ACES Strengthens US Presence with Acquisition of Meskel & Associates Engineering

April 28, 2026

AMMAN, JORDAN and JACKSONVILLE, FL April 20, 2026 – ACES US Holding Inc. (“ACES US” or the “Corporation”), the US subsidiary of the Middle East’s leading construction services and geotechnical engineering services firm, ACES Group, proudly completes its acquisition of Meskel & Associates Engineering (“Meskel” or “MAE”), a premier North Florida geotechnical engineering, materials testing and inspection, and CEI firm with over 18 years of experience throughout the southeast US. Combined with MC2 Engineers Inc., acquired in 2022, MAE advances ACES’ Strategic Plan, expanding the corporation’s presence in the US and significantly enhancing its capabilities in Florida and Georgia.

With headquarters in Jacksonville, FL and over 50 staff, MAE provides geotechnical engineering, construction engineering and inspection (CEI), materials testing, subsurface exploratory drilling, and environmental consulting services. The firm operates a CMEC-Certified and Florida Department of Transportation (“FDoT”) qualified laboratory in Jacksonville. With existing laboratories and facilities in Tampa, Ft Lauderdale as well as Atlanta, GA, ACES has established a strategically significant presence in the Southeast, exceeding 200 employees. MAE will continue offering its services, along with MC2 Engineers additional services, for critical civil infrastructure projects led by design consultants, the federal government, the Florida Department of Transportation (“FDoT”), local city and county governments, municipalities, general contractors, as well as industrial and commercial developers.

“Today, we officially welcome MAE to ACES. This acquisition strengthens our position in the U.S. and broadens our capabilities across the construction and engineering value chain at a time of accelerating demand for reliable and resilient infrastructure. By combining environmental advisory, geotechnical engineering, construction support expertise, and construction engineering inspection capabilities, we are creating a more integrated platform to support complex infrastructure programs from planning through execution.” stated Izzat Katkhuda, Co-CEO of ACES.

“MAE brings strong client relationships that enhance the reach and impact of our US platform. Together, our teams are expanding geographically, strengthening our service capabilities, and enhancing our ability to support clients, while providing greater opportunities for our people,” said Dr. Naeem Abdulhadi, Co-CEO of ACES.

“Over the past 18 years, Meskel has become one of the leading geotechnical and material engineering consultants in North Florida. I am proud of our client-centric culture we have built and believe this partnership will benefit our employees and clients. Joining ACES gives our team a broader platform, deeper resources, and expanded opportunities for growth. We are proud of what we’ve built and energized by what we will build together.” commented Tina Meskel, President of MAE.

Our team is hard at work conducting geotechnical drilling and soil sampling out at the Trail Ridge Landfill Techgate Tank project in Jacksonville!

Projects like this require precise engineering and ground testing to ensure everything built is safe, stable, and ready for long-term operations. Huge shoutout to the crew out in the field getting the job done safely and efficiently!
From Jacksonville to the Panhandle — MAE is on the move!

Our crew recently rolled into Gulf Breeze, FL to conduct geotechnical field exploration in support of an FDOT Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. When the project calls, we answer — drill rigs and all.

PD&E Studies lay the groundwork for smarter transportation planning, and quality subsurface data is what makes it all possible. That's where we come in.

No job too far. No soil too deep.

The Mike McCue Park and Boat Ramp (located at 2501 Second Avenue North) is temporarily closed for a highly anticipated bulkhead replacement project. As the southernmost Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) ramp in Duval County, this is a favorite launch spot for many of us.

However, due to heavy bulkhead damage and shoreline erosion, this critical upgrade is necessary to ensure long-term safety and stabilize our waterfront infrastructure. Ensuring Top-Tier Quality Behind the Scenes To guarantee that the new bulkhead stands the test of time, Meskel & Associates Engineering (MAE) is on the job! Our team is heading up the vital concrete and materials testing for the project. By rigorously testing the concrete strength, MAE is ensuring our new bulkhead is built on a rock-solid foundation capable of handling Florida's coastal elements.
When the job site is on the water… you take the drill rig WITH you.
Our crew has been out on the St. Johns River conducting geotechnical exploration for the Hecksher Drive Marina project in Jacksonville, FL — and yes, that is a drill rig on a barge. Because when the subsurface investigation needs to happen over water, we find a way to make it work.
Not your average Tuesday in the office.
Shoutout to our field crew for doing what it takes to get the job done — rain, shine, or open water.
Forget runway fashion — today we're celebrating our own kind of "fit check."
Hard hat: check. ✅
Hi-vis vest: check. ✅
Steel-toe boots broken in just right: check. ✅
Sunglasses to survive the Florida glare: absolutely check. ✅

It might not be Paris Fashion Week, but our MAE crews show up every day dressed for the job — safety first, style optional (though we like to think we still pull it off).
Field notes from the SR 312 extension project :
Today's lineup: one drill rig, two trucks, zero air conditioning, and grass tall enough to lose a shoe in. Our Geotech crew braved the Florida wilderness (and probably a few mosquitoes the size of hummingbirds) to drill down and figure out what's really going on beneath all that green.
Turns out "scenic overlook" and "active job site" can look surprisingly similar out here.
Big thanks to the team for getting boots-on-the-ground (and knee-deep in weeds) so SR 312 can keep moving forward!
Behind every strong structure is a team ensuring the materials used are durable, compliant, and built to last. From concrete testing and soil stabilization to aggregate supply and quality assurance, Construction Materials Lab services are what bridge the gap between a blueprint and a building that stands the test of time.

We take pride in helping builders, engineers, and developers lay the groundwork for success—literally.

Ready to start your next project with materials you can trust? Let’s build something great together.
Today, we are celebrating the brilliant women who are shaping our world from the ground up. From structural and civil engineering to MEP and environmental design, women in engineering are driving innovation, solving complex challenges, and building a more sustainable future.

To all the trailblazing women on our team and across the AEC industry: thank you for your vision, your expertise, and your leadership. You aren't just designing buildings and infrastructure; you’re paving the way for the next generation of STEM leaders.
Today marks the longest day of the year, and while most people are thinking about beach trips and BBQs, our team at MAE is thinking about daylighting, solar orientation, and sustainable design. In the AEC industry, the sun isn't just a weather report—it's a critical design partner. From maximizing natural light to reduce energy loads to optimizing building envelopes for peak thermal comfort, the way we capture today's sunlight shapes the spaces we live and work in all year round.

Here’s to designing a brighter, more sustainable future—one sunbeam at a time.
Honoring the history, resilience, and enduring spirit of freedom. This Juneteenth, we join our community in reflecting on the past and continuing the journey toward a more just and equal future. Wishing everyone a meaningful Freedom Day! #Juneteenth #FreedomDay #CommunityFirst #meskelandassociates
Congratulations Brett and Brittany on your new bundle of joy! We can't wait to meet her.
