Florida Licensed - Commercial Building Inspector
Leading engineering and construction services company is seeking a State of Florida Licensed Commercial Building Inspector to join our team. This role involves performing inspections and recording accurate results, daily.
Location: Jacksonville – Travel Optional (Florida Only)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform Building Inspection duties (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing as licensed). Inspect commercial buildings, which are under construction or being repaired, remodeled, or enlarged. Inspections are performed during various stages of completion to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes/ordinances.
- Perform inspections of construction work as it relates to licensure.
- Records accurate inspections results daily.
- Courteous and professional while interacting with clients when performing job duties.
- Ensure that project requirements are met and compliant with construction plans and inspection specifications.
- Drive to various job sites at locations both locally and throughout the State of Florida (optional)
- Must be flexible to changing schedules and hours to support business needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to read and interpret plans, blueprints and specifications.
- A State of Florida Standard Building Inspector License
- Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop, including sending and receiving emails, and to prepare reports.
- Must pass background and drug test.

- Resolve field issues by working closely with inspection staff, construction team, and Project Administrator
- Coordinate and guide the inspection team
