Players Club Water Reclamation Facility

MAE performed a geotechnical exploration for the design of The Players Club Water Reclamation Facility project, located in Ponte Vedra, Florida, for Mott MacDonald. Our services included performing 39 Standard Penetration Test (SPT) borings to depths up to 80 feet below ground surface and providing recommendations for design of shallow and mat foundations for support of clarifier tanks and several other plant structures, below grade utilities, sheet pile walls, pavements and drainage ponds. During construction, MAE provided field and laboratory testing of soils and concrete, and geotechnical engineering support including monitoring of settlement of the preloaded areas for the clarifiers and test pits in suspect soil areas for Wharton-Smith, the project contractor.
