Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind – Roadway and Drainage Improvements

This project included improvements to approximately 3,300 linear feet of the Florida School for the Deaf & the Blind (FSDB) perimeter roadway, and construction of two stormwater treatment areas. Paved and unpaved parking areas were also constructed as part of the project. The perimeter roadway improvements included replacement of the existing asphaltic concrete pavement section. The planned pavement section was proposed as the standard heavy-vehicle traffic section due to many buses traveling along the roadway. In addition, the roadway was widened to include 4 feet of additional paved surface along each side of the road.
