| The project includes construction of a 13-foot diameter, 40,000 gallon tank between and west of Tanks 9 and 10. The tank was constructed with a flat bottom and supported on a 15-foot by 15-foot concrete slab. MAE’s project work included Standard Penetration Test (SPT) borings to approximately 40 feet below the existing concrete slabs in the area of the proposed tank; laboratory index property testing including percent fines, natural moisture content and Atterberg limits. Geotechnical recommendations were prepared for foundation design. |
