| The new substation provides load relief for the Baymeadows and Southeast substations and will ultimately consist of 2 power transformers and 6 feeders. MAE’s responsibilities included Standard Penetration Test (SPT) borings for the proposed structure foundations as well as borings within the proposed stormwater ponds for evaluation of the encountered soils as structural fill. Samples were also obtained at depths specified by JEA for laboratory resistivity testing. A Geotechnical Report was prepared that included estimates of geotechnical properties for design of the foundations and recommendations for site preparation and construction. |
