Public relations were a critical component of the success of this project. MAE’s inspector during the project was a prime point of contact for the residents, who relied on him for information and assurances that their property would be restored to the original condition after construction. A unique aspect of the Geffen Park improvements project was the physical handling of soils containing hazardous waste materials. MAE utilized field crews trained to safely handle these materials with minimal interruption of the pedestrian walkway. MAE has always provided the data needed in a very timely manner, enabling the project team to keep our project on time and budget for the City of Jacksonville.

Phase 4 closure unfortunately had construction delay, which required the entire team to quickly document remaining work. MAE was extremely helpful in the documentation phase and quickly implemented a new materials prequalification process. MAE’s efforts in assisting in the material testing and prequalification process have been very helpful in the contractor’s efforts to complete this phase of work on time and on budget.
