Projects are $5.5 million 26-acre and $3.4 million 22-acre, landfill closure construction projects for the City of Jacksonville.  MAE was responsible for assisting with day to day monitoring and documentation of construction activities, laboratory and field materials testing programs for clay, topsoil and sand materials; borrow pit materials prequalification; closure materials internal and interface shear testing and calculations to determine safety factors for slope shear failures; clay test strip programs to determine workable minimum density and permeability requirements; and final certification package for all testing on closure materials.
