MAE’s work supported construction of strain poles at eleven (11) intersections along the existing SR-109 (University Boulevard) from SR-13 to Cesery Boulevard. MAE’s field exploration included performing Standard Penetration Test (SPT) borings at each intersection. The primary challenge of our field work was to maintain safe clearance distances from underground and overhead utilities and still be reasonably close to the proposed pole locations. MAE’s project responsibilities included submittal of a Structures Report containing the recommended soil parameters for design of the strain poles.h
